Living The Nourished Life

In the hustle and bustle of our modern lives, it’s all too common for high-achieving, professional women to put their physical and mental health on the back burner. The constant juggling act of work, family, and other commitments can make self-care seem like a luxury they can’t afford.

A few years ago, I was living a life that left me unhealthy, unhappy, and unfulfilled, as I chased achievements, success, and opportunities, hoping that one day I would feel like I had “made it”. I see this a lot when I work with my clients – they sacrifice their health and happiness in order to prove their worth, success, and value. This is a trap. It leads many women to feel exhausted, frustrated, overwhelmed, and lost.

I often see many women face a multitude of challenges that hinder them from embracing a nourished life:

  • Time Constraints: The endless to-do lists and responsibilities leave little room for self-care.
  • Guilt Complex: Many women feel guilty when taking time for themselves, believing they should prioritize others.
  • Overwhelm: The sheer volume of tasks can lead to burnout, leaving no energy for personal well-being.
  • Mindset Barriers: Limiting beliefs, fear of judgment, shame, past failures, and societal expectations can hold them back.

Due to these challenges, these women often struggle with weight gain, body aches, low energy, unhealthy eating habits, poor-quality sleep, irritability, anxiety, and scattered thinking. They are not able to show up as the healthiest, happiest, and most fulfilled versions of themselves because they don’t have the capacity, clarity, or confidence to truly show up for themselves.

When I created my company, Nourished Life Coaching & Consulting, my mission was to help women find balance, energy, and joy amidst the chaos. Most of the women I work with love what they do and are great at what they do. They are not looking to quit their jobs, shut their businesses down, avoid their responsibilities, or blow up their relationships; they simply want to create more space for their own needs while also continuing to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

There are a few pillars that I base the Nourished Life on and work with my clients to prioritize:

  • Self-Care: Creating space to connect with and intentionally tending to their needs on a daily basis.
  • Physical Wellness: Adopting habits around fitness and nutrition that nourish their bodies so that they have more energy and endurance, as well as helping them feel strong and confident.
  • Mental Health: Establishing new belief systems and upholding boundaries to reduce stress, anxiety, and overwhelm and create more calm, balance, and clarity.
  • Personal Development: Creating new practices and routines that foster continuous growth to embrace who they are and take control of their lives so they show up as the best versions of themselves.
  • Joy & Pleasure: Creating space for activities that allow them to connect with more joy and pleasure, which is a true accelerant to achieving more peace, happiness, and fulfillment.

The reality is your Nourished Life may look different from someone else’s, but it’s all about aligning with your unique needs, desires, and goals. If you are at a place where you are ready to make the shifts needed to lead a life that feels more nourishing, it will start with you identifying what you truly want, why you want it, and what is getting in the way of you living the nourished life.

This is why I created my coaching company and recently launched The Nourished Life Society, an online coaching community for women looking for support, guidance, and accountability when it comes to prioritizing their physical and mental health.   Times are changing and now more than ever we need more and more women to break the habit of neglecting themselves so that they can start living a life where they can enjoy success without sacrificing their health or happiness.
