Being an entrepreneur has been one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made, but there are times when I’ve questioned if I truly am on the right track. If you have an entrepreneur in your life, take some time out today to let them know that you love them, support them, and are rooting for them to succeed. It will mean to them than you will ever know. Go ahead and show some love to an entrepreneur in your life!

This past weekend, I visited Portland, Oregon for the first time to speak at the Oregon Women’s Conference and it was a phenomenal time. I met so many wonderful women and the city welcomed me with open arms. The conference itself was phenomenal as it focused on various aspects of life, business, and personal development as it pertained to women. I was a part of the “Exceptional Women in Business” portion and I focused on sharing the importance of having a coach, creating boundaries in your business and personal life, and the power of simply believing in yourself as an entrepreneur. I had a blast and it was nice to hear after I spoke, how I was able to help people along their entrepreneurial journey.

One theme that continued to rise up during the entire day was that most people don’t have what they need in their life and business, because they don’t ask for it. Simply put. Think about the #1 thing that you need in your business, right now. Maybe it is more finances or more customers or maybe it’s assistance on a project or task. Chances are the reason that you don’t have more money, more customers, more assistance or whatever else you need, is because you simply have not asked for it.

I think about when I joined a network marketing company and I desperately wanted to reach a specific rank in the company, and although, financially, I was making a good income from it, I would never reach that rank unless I grew my team. Months and months and eventually years went by, where I remained at one particular rank, because I was too afraid to ask people if they wanted to join the business opportunity with me. I was afraid that they would reject me or say “NO”, and I let that fear keep me stuck in a certain position.

The reality was that yes, some people did say “NO” and some people did “reject” me. But, the greater reality was that – it didn’t kill me! Someone saying “NO” or “rejecting” you won’t kill you and whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. So think about what it is that you want and be very clear about it, then go out there as ASK for what you want! You may hear a bunch of “NO’s” but how would your business and your life change with that one “YES”? Kick your fears aside and go for NO until you get your yes!

Here’s to a successful week where you ask for what you want and GET IT!

I hope that your week is starting off to a great start! I wanted to share with you a video that I created last week and it focuses on the “B” word! No, not that word, I’m talking about BOUNDARIES! Over the past few weeks, I’ve been taking time to focus on personal development by reading books, attending seminars, and applying what I’ve been learning. One of those things is the importance of creating boundaries in my business and my life, so that I am able to reach my goals and my definition of success. Check out this video, to see what boundaries I have set!

As you think about your life and your business, identify your top goals and priorities. As you think about those goals and priorities, think about the boundaries that you should set to ensure that you are able to focus on your goals and priorities. It may be difficult to say “No” to certain things, but if it puts you in position to have more success in your personal life and your business, then this is a MUST! Treat your goals and priorities like they are precious, by setting up boundaries in your life and your business, you will be able to protect your goals and priorities and be able to commit more fully to them. This is critical to your success!

Hopefully, you will no longer be afraid of the “B” word, but if you are still having trouble with setting the proper boundaries, I invite you to join me on my next Group Coaching Call on Wednesday, May 15th at 8PM EST. To register, click here.

Can I just tell you that the past few days have been insane (in a good way)! I just returned from a weekend in Southern California to attend the Smart Success Seminar hosted by one of my mentors Chalene Johnson and man was my mind blown! The entire seminar focused on SUCCESS, yes 3 days of working on my success. It may sound like overkill, but tell me when was the last time that you sat down and spent days focusing on how to be more successful in your life and your business? For me, it has always more of a fleeting thought or maybe an hour here and there.

One of the biggest takeaways for me, was taking the time to truly identify and write out what success in life really looked like to me. This wasn’t in a sentence or two, but I wrote an entire page, fully detailed out. It was amazing, because it set the tone for how I wanted to structure my life and my business. I realized that because I was unclear in what success truly looked like to me, I was taking on projects and clients that didn’t truly support what I wanted in my life and my business. I was overworked and overwhelmed; ultimately, I was sabotaging my success. But those days are long gone!

One of the things that we worked on were Life and Business Policies. These are the things that we create that we must live by and they are created to be aligned with your vision of success. So, I am proud to announce that one of my Life Priorities is that I will no longer take coaching clients during the Summer Months, so I can use that time to focus on renewing myself and working on my business. I’m excited because I have so many ideas for new programs, products, and books, but I haven’t had the time to get them done, so this summer, will be the time to make that happen. So stay tuned for the new things coming down the pipeline!

Have a great and successful week!

Yesterday, I had a nice conversation with a woman on the train on my way to New York City for a birthday dinner for a good friend of mine. This women and I got to talking and she revealed that she was looking to start a business that she was very passionate about. She was very excited and looking forward to the day that she would be a true business owner. However, she had been “working” on her business for the past 3 years and it still hadn’t launched yet. I was a bit perplexed because she had revealed that she done extensive research on her industry and target market, she had a comprehensive business plan complete with financials, and even $25,000 saved up to be used to start her business. It wasn’t an issue of being prepared for starting this business, it was something deeper. She was getting in her own way. She was letting every excuse in the book keep her from launching her business.

I asked her about her current work situation and she told me, almost with tears in her eyes, how miserable she was at her current job and that it was beginning to cause anxiety in her life, because she was so unhappy. Her relationship with her long time boyfriend was beginning to suffer because she was so unhappy. It was painful to hear how unhappy she was, especially, because I knew that she would have more happiness and fulfillment in her life, if she would launch her business and spend her time doing what she loved.

Her story is not very unusual, as I can totally relate to her story because 3 years ago, I was in the same boat (minus the $25,000 in the bank). There comes a time in our lives where we will get to the point where we will have to move past our fears, our doubts, our failures, our negative friends and family, and those little voices in our heads telling us that we can’t do something. If you want to live the life of your dreams, the life that you deserve to live, it is up to you to say “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!” I challenge you, right now, to take out a piece of paper and a pen and write down those things or people who are holding you back. Once you identify them, I want you to make plan of action to either eliminate them from your life or minimize your interaction with that thing or person. You are destined to live a life full of abundance and fulfillment and now is your time to live that life! I dare you to live the life of your dreams

The past few days were a whirlwind! I was in Chicago where I spoke to a group of 450 High School students to motivate them to be the exception and fight for their dreams and their future. I also launched my Shepreneur Business Bootcamp, then conducted 2 Social Media trainings. It was a great weekend and as I was on the plane ride back to Philadelphia, I began to reflect on the weekend. I can honestly say that I love what I do! Spending time speaking, coaching, training, and attempting to make a difference in people’s lives, is truly what I love to do and I am so blessed that I am able to make a living from it.

Every morning, I google an inspirational video to help me jumpstart my day and I thought it was ironic that this was the video that I found. It is a message from Steve Jobs giving advice for entrepreneurs and it was in total alignment with how I felt this weekend.

Check it out!

You see, it’s all about Passion! It is what keeps you motivated and engaged with your business. A lot of the people that I work with and coach, tell me that they have lost the passion in their business because they are frustrated with not getting the results that they are seeking. This can be stressful and even cause you to contemplate closing up shop. If you are at this place in your business, I invite you to join me next week for a free 5 day marketing training. I will focus on some of the areas that may be holding you back from having big success in your business. If you are interested, I personally invite you to join me on the calls. If you can’t attend live, you can still receive the recordings if you register.

I hope to have you join me!

Today is a very special day…IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! This morning I took some time to reflect on the past years of my life and I was truly humbled at how far I’ve come. Most people don’t know that I struggled with extremely low self esteem, intense depression and anxiety and even struggled with suicide. It has been a very long journey and that is why today is so special for me, because I am still here! There were times when I believed that I didn’t matter or didn’t have the right to want to help people, because I was in such a bad place. I share this with you, because each and every one of us were born with a purpose to help people, make a difference or impact, and to leave behind an extraordinary legacy. However, we will convince ourselves that we are not worthy of walking in our purpose because we are reminded of our shortcomings and struggles. I believed those lies for years, until one day, I decided that I was going to surrender to that call to help people and I created my businesses to do just that – help people have more success in life and business. On this day, I encourage you to take some time to reflect on your purpose and think about what myths and lies you are holding on to that are holding you back. Today is a great day, not just because it’s my birthday, but because today is the day that you are going to let go of the things that are keeping you from truly living in your purpose. This is your birthday gift to me! It’s the cheapest gift you can ever give, but it will make the biggest impact!

As an extra gift for you, I have created an eWorkbook for you to help you tap into your Passion, Power and Purpose. This is system I used when I was trying to figure out how to move closer to walking in my purpose and I wanted to share it with you. I hope that you enjoy it! Click here to download.

Lastly, if you are free this Thursday, I was asked by one of my good friends and Business Experts, Kim Flynn, to co-host a webinar with her. She is great and her webinars are AMAZING! So I was honored that I was asked to be a part of a great program that is literally changing the lives and businesses of people all over the world. She is a big deal! If you are free this Thursday, register for this free training webinar. I will be taking about “Marketing Breakthroughs In Your Business”…you should definitely check it out, because this is a sneak peek to a new program that I will be releasing in March. To register for this FREE webinar, visit http://www.kimflynnwebinar.com/

Thanks so much for all of your support through the years and months, it’s because of you that I do what I do and continue to walk in my purpose. Your success is what drives, motivates, and inspires me to do more.

Can you believe that we are closing up the first month of 2013? To be honest, I can’t believe how quickly the month has come and gone. However, I am excited about the progress that I made during this month. As you know, I discussed my plan to focus on my daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals and I am happy to say that I’ve really seen progress by following my daily and weekly tasks. When you create a daily routine, you create structure and balance that leads you to be more productive. If you can successfully complete your daily tasks, your weekly and monthly tasks naturally get done. Again, I encourage you to think about your goals for 2013 and write down every single task that needs to be done daily, weekly, and monthly in order to achieve those goals. Then commit to those activities, on top of your “To Do List” that is packed with errands, follow up, and other tasks.

Next week, you will receive an email from that is going to invite you to check out a new Video Series that I created especially for those who are either feeling stuck on their entrepreneurial journey or those of you who are looking to step out to start a business. I want to share this with you, because one of my goals for 2013 is to release a free gift you! Whether it be a free ebook or video series, that will help you to have more success in 2013. I wanted to create a goal that was tied to YOUR SUCCESS! I hope that you are excited for this free gift.

So, make this week a great one and get ready to kick it up a notch in February!

As we embark on the new year, I know that many of you have sat down to write down your goals and resolutions for 2013. You will write down a list of 3 to 10 items that focus on improving your health, your life, your business, your finances, and your relationships. You will take that sheet of paper (because we all know that you have to physically write them down to have the greater chances of accomplishing them) and you will feel really good about your list. However, as the days and weeks pass through 2013, our fervor for that list of goals will die down. Why? Because life, tasks, challenges, to-do’s, and the demands of others will get in the way and by the time December 2013 comes around, that list will have a lot of unaccomplished goals. For some of you, because you’ve been through this cycle so many times, you have decided that you aren’t going to set any goals or resolutions, because you now believe that they don’t work. So you just set out to be a better person or to be more successful or have a better marriage with your spouse this year.

In both cases, and sorry for the frankness, you are setting yourself up for failure. You are setting yourself up to continue living a life that is limiting you from experience the fullness of life! You were meant to have a wonderful, prosperous, successful and happy life and each year it is supposed to be even better! In order for that to happen, setting goals and working reaching those goals is very necessary! However, before you even begin to set your goals, you have to come to the understanding of your purpose. The moment that I realized my life’s purpose, which came when I was going through one of the most devastating seasons in my life, everything became clear to me. I now understood what it was that I was put on this earth to do. As an entrepreneur, business owner, coach, speaker, and author it was my sole responsibility to serve and help others through my gifts, talents and passions.

Once I understood my purpose, everything changed. I began to truly focus on living a healthier life by exercising and eating healthier, eliminating negative people from my life, saving more money and reading more personal development books because I knew that those things would greatly improve the quality of my life. I needed to be in the best mental, physical, emotional, and financial position that I could be in, because I couldn’t live my life’s purpose if I was stressed, sick, depressed, and broke! Remember, I was put on this earth to help people to change their lives and their businesses through my coaching, training, speaking, and products. From there, setting goals became a lot easier for me, but the kicker was that accomplishing those goals was even easier. Why? Because I now had clarity in what I needed to do. This helped me to determine what habits I needed to adopt, along with the actions that I needed to do on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. I now had a plan of action to use to help me accomplish my goals that were purpose driven.

If you have found yourself at the same place at the beginning and end of each year, maybe it is time that you made your focus on tapping into your purpose. It’s not an easy task and it requires you to get “real” with yourself and take a deep dive into who you are and who you want to become. But I promise you, it is well worth the journey of discovery. Ask yourself, “What was I put on this earth to do?” “What will my legacy be?” “Who can I help?” “How will I know when I’ve achieved my life’s purpose?”

Go for it…
